Research & Evidence Lead
Keeps SRHE's guidance and standards framework grounded in current evidence, tracking research and clinical guidance relevant to RSE.
What you'll do
- Monitor emerging research and clinical guidance relevant to RSE and sexual health education
- Support development of the SRHE standards framework with an evidence base
- Fact-check and reference guidance content published on the SRHE website
- Liaise with the Education & Training Lead on evidence underpinning training materials
- Summarise relevant data (e.g. UKHSA surveillance data) for use in SRHE communications
Essential criteria
- A background in public health, social research, education research, or a related field
- Strong skills in critically appraising research and evidence synthesis
- Comfortable writing for a non-academic audience
Desirable criteria
- Postgraduate study or research experience in sexual and reproductive health
- Experience with systematic or rapid evidence reviews
No direct contact with young people. This role does not involve direct contact with children or vulnerable adults, so an enhanced DBS check is not required. Safeguarding training is still mandatory for every SRHE volunteer.
