Volunteer role
Finance Lead
Oversees SRHE's financial processes, including budgeting and handling of any Institutional Member contributions.
What you'll do
- Set up and maintain basic financial processes appropriate to an early-stage CIC
- Prepare budgets and financial summaries for the team
- Oversee the handling of any Institutional Member contributions or donations
- Support the Governance & Compliance Lead with financial reporting obligations
Essential criteria
- A background in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping
- Comfortable setting up financial processes from scratch in a small organisation
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of financial integrity
Desirable criteria
- A relevant accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT)
- Experience with charity or CIC finance and reporting requirements
No direct contact with young people. This role does not involve direct contact with children or vulnerable adults, so an enhanced DBS check is not required. Safeguarding training is still mandatory for every SRHE volunteer.
