What you'll do

  • Lead the development and ongoing review of SRHE's guidance for academics delivering RSE in 16+ settings
  • Develop training materials and resources for academics new to RSE delivery
  • Represent SRHE in outreach sessions and workshops with partner institutions, where these involve direct contact with learners
  • Keep guidance content aligned with current clinical and public health evidence (FSRH, BASHH, NICE, UKHSA)
  • Work with the Research & Evidence Lead to ensure guidance is evidence-informed

Essential criteria

  • Experience of RSE, PSHE, or related teaching/facilitation in a post-16 or further education setting
  • Confident, sensitive communicator on sexual health topics with young adults
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles relevant to working with 16-18 year olds
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small volunteer team

Desirable criteria

  • A teaching, youth work, or public health qualification
  • Experience developing curriculum or training content
  • Familiarity with FSRH, BASHH, or NICE guidance
Direct contact role. This role may involve direct contact with young people in 16+ settings. In addition to safeguarding training, it requires an enhanced DBS check before you can begin, as set out in our Safeguarding Policy.
